Watercolour and ink paintings by Polina Shvedko
Most of these works combine watercolour washes with fine ink lines. "Every day I am in search of new ideas, forms, new materials and techniques!" Polina Shvedko writes. All twelve sheets date from 2023 and 2024.
The subjects are streets, cafés and corners: a beer garden in bloom, a canal-side street in spring, St. Albani Church in the afternoon, an old watermill with a cyclist on the bridge, and three cafés with red awnings, one of them seen from above.
Quieter scenes show a lone windmill, a park path with bare trees and benches, and a sunny village square with red-tiled roofs. Seven of the twelve are on sheets of about 30 × 42 cm. Open a work to see all its photos, its size and its year.
